Oslo Pro Golf Tour would like to thank the clubs and players that supported our concept last season.

The concept is still an open idea for me, but the time to devote to it, well, is hard to find. If people are interested, I have seen that there have been a few visits here recently, that's great and don't desitate to give me a call.

In all reality the concept will be put on hold until I have the time to devote to it or someone is willing to pay me for doing it/or something like it. ,-)

NOTE: All purse sizes for 36 hole events are based on a full field of 60 players and 80% of the entry fee going into the purse. We are working to get sponsers, which is not easy in today's financial situation, but we are holding an open and positive mind to that!

There has been a few telephones from players wondering how to pay the membership and start fee's.

Oslo Pro Golf Tour's account number is: 1020.21.95488.

Membership fee's are listed on the left side of the webpage and are 250,- for PGA members and 200,- for non-professionals.

The start fee's are also on the left side of the webpage along with all the tour's policy's and the money breakdown.

Payment needs to be paid one week before the start date for each event.

We have discussed a suggestion we have received about giving each professional a discount in their start fee if they are able to bring 5 or more non-professional players to participate.

This we can do. At the time of registration each non-professional must state which professional they are "following" or "coming to the event with".

Each professional that has 5 or more "followers" will be subject to a start fee of 650,- kroner instead of a 1000,-. This was a good idea that we hope helps promote the OPGT and the professionals and non-professionals alike.

Membership and Season - end awards

ANNUAL TOUR MEMBERSHIP:

For PGA members there is a one time fee of 250,-.

Non- OPGT Members who pay and compete in 3 or more events will become an automatic Member upon payment of their 3rd event.

Amateur Membership is 200,-kr and is required of all amateurs.

SEASON-END AWARDS:

2009 Moneylist Prizes *

1st: 2 weeks paid lodging in Myrtle Beach + 2000,- kr

2nd: 1 weeks paid lodging in Myrtle Beach + 1000,- kr

* Based on 40 Paid Members and minimum of 40 players at the Tour Championship.

At a very minimum, the following will apply:

The Leading Money Winner at the conclusion of the Tour Championship will be awarded his 2 weeks of lodging in Myrtle Beach and the Bonus money according to the number of paid Members and entires into the Tour Championship. The recipient of this award must be an 2009 Oslo Pro Golf Tour Member. Only moneys won during the membership phase will count towards the members money list and the season-end awards.

MONEY POSITION & ACCUMULATION:

Only Members Qualify - Members will compete for season end awards as described in the "Season-End Awards" program by accumulative winnings.

Tour Mission

OUR MISSION:

The Oslo Pro Golf Tour is a developmental tour with a mission to create a highly competitive environment for the golf professional as well as the seasoned amateur. They are athletes who are interested in achieving a higher level of performance and maximizing his or her ability to play competitive golf at their personal best. It is our goal to be a challenging stepping stone for those athletes who are passionate about turning a dream into reality. There will be no greater accomplishment than to successfully create a tour that helps players reach their full potential and move on to play on one of the major Tours.

OUR BEGINNING:

The Oslo Pro Golf Tour was conceived by Kevin Porn Golf in the Winter of 2008. Kevin has worked at 5 different clubs in his 15 years in Norway. Kevin has played in several mini tours in Scandinavia. Kevin played for both his high school and college teams in the United States.

The Oslo Pro Golf Tour was born out of passion as much as the need for a mini tour in the Oslo area. One of our goals is to provide tournaments at many of the fine golf courses within an hour of Oslo. We feel many of the players who live in the Oslo area need a chance to play more tournament rounds. We are here to try and fill that need.

With the support of the clubs and players we believe we have a good chance at creating a tour that might last and help players achieve their goals.

The tour is open to pros and amateurs alike. The tour provides a "home-based" place to compete for the aspiring professionals, serious amateurs as well as seasoned veterans. We are committed to providing a place for serious golfers to compete.

YEAR ROUND PLAYING:

We understand that if a player is really going to see the fruits of his talent he needs to play year round. We are committed also to helping players find places to play during the summer break and off season here in Norway. That is where our cooperation with the Grand Strand Pro Golf Tour is such a great thing. Oslo Pro Golf Tour can provide inexpensive lodging for players in Myrtle Beach as well as the contacts to make the transition from Oslo Pro Golf Tour to the possible chance of chasing a dream in the United States.

OUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE:

One of the biggest challenges of any growing professional sporting organization is to gain sponsorship. Sponsor support has become the lifeblood of any professional sporting organization and is the largest determining factor between success and failure. The management of the Oslo Pro Golf Tour is actively seeking sponsors to support this tour and the members associated with it. The Oslo Pro Golf Tour has several levels of sponsorship available to individuals and companies. Note: If the entry to the Tour Championship is under 40 than the Top 15 in the money will apply.

Shoot-Out: Players outside the projected 33% “In-The-Money” will be eligible to play in an 18 hole Shoot-Out in the final round. The cost of the Shoot-Out is 150,-kr.

Shoot-Out will be offered at all events in 2009.

The payout formula in the Shoot-Out will be:
First: 40%
Second: 30%
Third: 20%
Fourth: 10%

ALL 36 HOLE EVENTS ARE LIMITED TO THE FIRST 60 CONTESTANTS WHO REGISTER BEFORE THE DEADLINE,

QUICK REFERENCE:

Event Payment will accompany any and all registrations to be considered as an entry.

NO on-site payments will be accepted.

60 Player Maximum: The first 60 paid contestants will be entered, all other applicants will be placed on a wait list and selected by the date that their entry and payment is received in our office.

There will be a required 10 Player Minimum to hold any event. Players must be registered and paid prior to the Monday deadline. If the minimum number of players is not reached by the Monday deadline, the event will be canceled.
(Oslo Pro Golf Tour reserves the right to contact players in regards to this player minimum on a week to week basis. )

Seniors are defined as any player pro or amateur who is 50 years of age or older on or before the week of the current event.

Seniors will receive a competitive tee in 2009

A minimum of 10 registered Seniors will be required to host a separate Senior Pro Division at any scheduled event. Seniors can compete in both divisions if they so choose. If less than 12 seniors are registered for any event, they will compete for the Regular Tour Purse.

Course Set-Up: Course set-up will be the responsibility of the Host Club and Oslo Pro Golf Tour.

Oslo Pro Golf Tour will operate with the idea that “it's every players responsibility to protect the field.” We will have a three man players rules committee that will be Hat drawn before the first round and these men will decide rule questions. Only PGA members will be eligible to be drawn.

We will encourage the players to use the 2 ball rule if players do not know how to proceed with an on course situation. If the players rule committee cannot come to a decision then the Tour Director's decisions are final.

Oslo Pro Golf Tour has a Tour Advisory Committee made up of tour members who volunteer their time to help improve the overall tour management and organization. Members of the Advisory Committee may change over time depending on a member’s ability to serve on the Committee. Members of the Advisory Committee are asked to serve based on their experience and knowledge of playing professional golf, the rules of golf and the organization of professional golf tours.

Player Ability Requirement:

Any non-injured contestant who turns in a score of 90 or worse will be placed on probation. If the same contestant returns a score of 90 or higher in any of the next three rounds played, he will be suspended for the next three events and/or fined 1500- kr . Exception: If weather conditions are a contributing factor higher scores as a rule, the tour will use discretion on this policy.

Scoring: We will try and use the Golfbox system in Norway. We will also be posting results and pictures on this site.

REGULAR PRO Division:
Any PGA professional who is under the age of 50.
All Regular Pros play from the Championship tee markers.

SENIOR PRO Division:
To qualify as a Pro Senior or Amateur Senior you must be able to prove that you are 50 years or older at the of the event you are entering.
Seniors may play from the specified tees as defined by the Tour Committee prior to play and do not exceed a 250 meter differential from the Championship Tees.
Exception: ALL play from par 3's will be from the same yardage.

AMATEURS: Amateurs who wish to compete on this tour shall provide a verifiable handicap index of 7. All amateurs will play from the Championship Tees unless they qualify for the Senior Division.
-All Amateurs are required to become members of the tour.

ELIGIBILITY:

All professionals. Amateurs with a verified handicap of 7 or better may play on a space available basis only.

ENTRY DEADLINE: (No Exceptions to this Policy!!)

The payment deadline for all events is Monday at 17:00 the week before any event. Any contestant who registers after the Monday deadline will be required to pay an additional 300,- kr late registration fee.

Members and Non-Members may enter any event as far in advance as they wish. Members have first priority for any event. The Non-Member waiting list will be built according to when payment is received. Non-Members will be entered into events after the Monday deadline has passed in the order their payment was received. Any non-member who does not gain entry into an event will be given a full refund or at his or her request will be placed on the non-member list for the next event.

ENTRY FEE PAYMENT:

All entry fee payments are to be made to Oslo Pro Golf Tour at account number 1020.21.95488.

If players absolutely cannot transfer the entry fee via the Net Bank, cash payment can be arranged by contacting the Oslo Pro Golf Tour.

NO SHOW/WITHDRAW:

Withdrawals will be accepted for any reason, without penalty, when notice is given by 17:00, the Friday before the event. Players must call the Tour Office to withdraw. For withdrawals after the Friday deadline, the player will waive his entry fee to the tournament. Medical and personal withdrawals after the Friday deadline will be evaluated on a case by case instance, and if accepted, there will be a 400,- kr administrative fee. The player must submit written documentation to the Tour office within 24 hours of withdrawal, and medical withdrawal documentation must be on Doctors letterhead. No Refund or credit will be given for any reason once a player has teed off. No shows will not receive a refund or credit for any reason.

PRACTICE ROUNDS:

Practice rounds are the responsibility of the player. Tee times are to be arranged between the player and Host Club at least 24 hours in advance. Eventual cost will be between the player and the Host Club.

PACE OF PLAY:

Rule 6-7 states, in part: "The player shall play without undue delay and in accordance with any pace of play guidelines which may be laid down by the Committee." The following pace of play guidelines and slow play penalties and fines, except during match play competitions, has been adopted.1. Definition of "Out of Position"The first group to start will be considered out of position if, at any time during the round, the group exceeds the time allotted per hole, as detailed on the applicable course's Local Rules Addendum.The second and third groups, and additional groups as determined by the Rules Committee when play is in pairs, to start will be considered out of position if, at any time during the round, they (a) exceed the allotted time to play or (b) reach any place where there is an open par-3 or par-4 hole, or when the preceding group is on the putting green of a par-5 hole when the group in question is on the teeing ground.Any subsequent group will be considered out of position if, at any time during the round, they reach any place where there is an open par-3 or par-4 hole, or the preceding group is on the putting green of a par-5 hole when the group in question is on the teeing ground.2. Monitoring GroupsIt is the responsibility of each player to be aware of his groups' position on the golf course. Rules Officials Are Not required to warn groups prior to be timed. A group will be subject to being timed until back in position with the group ahead or back on TIME PAR.3. TimingThe timing of a players stroke will begin when it is his turn to play and he can play without interference or distraction. Any time spent determining yardages will count as time taken for the next stroke.On the putting green, timing will begin after a player has been allowed a reasonable amount of time to mark, lift, clean and replace his ball, repair his ball mark and other ball marks on his line of putt and remove loose impediments on the line of his putt. A player will have 40 seconds to play a stroke when being timed.
NOTE: An extra 10 seconds will be allowed for:
A. The first player to play a stroke on a par-3 hole.
B. The first player to play a second stroke on a par-4 or par-5 hole (when attempting to reach the putting green).
C. The first player to play a third stroke on a par-5 hole.
D. The first player to play on or around the putting green.

Fines and Penalties - Penalty Phase:
Any player in a group out of position will be subject to being timed. Any player who exceeds the allotted time to play a stroke will be fined 150,- kr on his second bad time of the year and is then considered to be in the Penalty Phase of the Pace of Play Policy. Players in the Penalty Phase of the Pace of Play Policy exceeding the allotted time to play a stroke will be fined and penalized in the following manner.

Summary of Fines and Penalties during a RoundFirst Offense: One timing exceeding the allotted time to play a stroke -- one stroke penalty.Second Offense: One more timing (a total of two) exceeding the allotted time to play a stroke -- two stroke penalty.Subsequent Offense: One more timing (a total of three) exceeding the allotted time to play a stroke -- disqualification.
Note: In the administration of these paces of play guidelines, a member of the rules committee shall not tolerate any form of abuse, by the player. Such abuse constitutes conduct unbecoming a professional. 6. Appeals Any appeal of a penalty and fine must be referred to the Tour Director, by the player in question immediately upon completion of his/her round. The Tour Director's decision shall be final.

Alcohol Consumption During Round:
Alcohol during any competitive round will not be tolerated and is not considered conduct unbecoming of a professional. Breech of this policy will result in immediate disqualification. Contestants who continue to breech this policy will be banned from future events.

ELECTRONIC DEVICES:

The use of distance-measuring devices will be permitted in all Oslo Pro Golf Tour events. The devices can only measure distance. The use of devices that gauge or measure other conditions that may affect a players play (e.g. wind or gradient) regardless of whether used is not permitted.
Other electronic devices such as mobile cell phones (unless used to contact an official), radios, ipods, MP3 players, televisions, and the like, are NOT permitted. Any use of such device during the stipulated round will result in disciplinary action and possible DISQUALIFICATION. (Use is defined as the device being on at any time during the stipulated round).

CONDUCT:

Any conduct unbecoming of a professional will not be tolerated. Such behavior includes abusive profanity, acts of rage and or any act that results in personal or private property damage. Breech of professional conduct may result in warnings and or disqualification.

DRESS CODE:

No jeans or denim allowed. Slacks are preferred but shorts may be worn but must be of Bermuda length. All shirts must have a collar, turtleneck or be a mock. No tee shirts. Soft spikes are mandatory at all events if not otherwise stated on the website of the Host Club that steel spikes are allowed.

MOBILE PHONES:

The use of cell phones on the golf course during tournament rounds by a contestant or his/her caddy is prohibited. Violating this rule will result in disqualification.

PLAYOFFS & TIES:

Ties for first place will be decided by a sudden death playoff. The Tour Director will decide the holes to be played immediately following regulation play.

PRIZE MONEY PAYMENT:

Prize money will paid by Oslo Pro Golf Tour the final day of the tournament or within 24 hours of the completion of the final round. All prize money will be transfered to players via the Net Bank.

SUSPENSION OF PLAY (Due to Dangerous Situation):

Play may be suspended due to dangerous situations. After a horn or siren has sounded, players must immediately halt play and may not resume again until the Committee has ordered to do so. Under suspension the entire golf course is closed, this includes ranges, putting greens and all practice areas. Violation of this rule will result in disqualification.

Suspension of play due to fog, excessive rain, ice, wind or any other reason is considered not dangerous. After the horn sounds, players have the option of finishing the hole they are on or marking the ball position and stopping play.

REDUCTION OF ROUNDS:

The Tour will do everything within reason to complete 36holes. In such a case 36 holes cannot be completed the tournament is final after 18 completed holes of a Two Day Event. Partial rounds will not count. Every effort will be made to complete a round. If less than 18 holes are completed, refunds will be given less course costs. The rainout policy is very specific. If play is suspended at any time during the first round, play will resume later that day or the next day. The same procedure will be followed for the second round. If the second round is canceled the tournament will be deemed final after the first round.
